THE NEXT COURSE was a free community-wide event that explored eating disorders for professionals, families, schools, and the community. This community wide event was held at the Eberhard Center at Grand Valley State University in downtown Grand Rapids.

Special Guests included:

• Kelly Klump, PhD, Associate Professor of Psychology at Michigan State University and 2007-2008 President for the Academy for Eating Disorders.

• James Van Haren, MD, is a local psychiatrist and expert on the diagnosis and treatment of eating disorders
• Sarah Ash, MA, CNS, is a local therapist in private practice, who specializes in treating clients with eating disorders.
• Elizabeth Hanson, MSRD, is a registered dietician with Forest View Hospital and expert in the nutritional effects of eating disorders.
